Natalya Danilyants, MD
Principal & Medical Director
Dr. Natalya Danilyants is the Principal and Medical Director at Visionary ASC, where she oversees clinical operations and surgical innovation, with a focus on delivering high-quality care for patients with complex GYN conditions. In this role, she guides the center’s clinical strategy and leads the development of advanced surgical protocols.
Dr. Danilyants completed her fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) with an emphasis on GYN Oncology techniques and procedures through the prestigious Johnson and Johnson/Ethicon MIS fellowship training program. She brings over two decades of experience in minimally invasive GYN surgery and has developed advanced protocols for the performance of hysterectomy and myomectomy in the free-standing ASC setting. She is the developer of two advanced MIS procedures: DualPortGYN® and Laparoscopic Assisted Abdominal Myomectomy® (LAAM®), which are widely recognized for improving surgical outcomes in patients with endometriosis, fibroids, and pelvic masses. Dr. Danilyants has published some of the largest comparison data on Dualport for hysterectomy and endometriosis and LAAM in hospital, hospital outpatient department (HOPD), and ASC settings. She has performed thousands of these procedures and actively trains other surgeons in these techniques.
Dr. Danilyants is a national and international leader on Value Based Care, with a focus on the role of the free-standing ASC to decrease healthcare costs while increasing value and optimizing surgical outcomes.
Dr. Danilyants has held leadership positions across multiple institutions. She was the Director of Advanced Laparoscopic Retroperitoneal Surgery at the Women’s Surgery Center (Bethesda, MD), Director of Minimally Invasive Surgery at INOVA Fair Oaks Hospital (Fairfax, VA), as well as Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the George Washington University Medical Center (Washington, DC).
Penny Craig, MBA
Executive Director
Penny R. Craig serves as the Executive Director at Visionary ASC, where she leads physician recruitment, practice integration, and regional growth across the organization’s multi-entity ecosystem—spanning The Center for Innovative GYN Care (CIGC), NGynS (National GYN Specialists), and NGynAP (National GYN ASC Partners). Drawing on over 20 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, business development, and multi-specialty group management, Penny drives strategies that expand access to fellowship-trained GYN surgeons and accelerate ASC utilization nationwide. Her leadership supports Visionary’s mission to transform women’s surgical care through physician alignment, robotic access, and data-driven site-of-service migration that improves outcomes and lowers costs.
Before joining Visionary ASC, Penny served as Chief Administrator for Premier Medical Group, overseeing 42 physicians and 23 advanced practice providers across multiple specialties, where she achieved record revenue growth and led major operational turnarounds. Her experience also includes senior roles at Ohio County Healthcare, IntraHealth Group, and Tenet Healthcare, where she built physician networks, launched new service lines, and improved financial performance across complex healthcare systems. Penny holds a Master of Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University and a Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University, and is Six Sigma Green Belt and AI Certified. She is known for her collaborative leadership, strategic vision, and ability to drive sustainable growth across integrated healthcare platforms.
Christopher Hutchins
Director of ASC Growth & Development
Christopher J. Hutchins is the Director of ASC Growth & Development at Visionary ASC, the nation’s first dedicated GYN-only ambulatory surgery center (ASC) platform. With more than 25 years of experience spanning business development, operations, and marketing—including over 15 years in ambulatory surgery center leadership—Chris drives Visionary’s expansion strategy across multiple markets. He leads de novo and turnaround initiatives in partnership with NGynAP (National GYN ASC Partners) and NGynS (National GYN Specialists), aligning physician recruitment, robotic deployment, and payer engagement to accelerate growth and ensure operational and financial excellence across the Visionary network.
Prior to joining Visionary ASC, Chris held senior leadership roles at Ambulatory Care Management, Constitution Surgery Alliance, and ASD Management, where he oversaw the successful launch and turnaround of more than a dozen ASC and OBL facilities nationwide. His expertise includes mergers and acquisitions, physician syndication, payer contracting, and operational optimization—translating complex projects into sustainable, profitable surgery ecosystems. A former Division I athlete, Chris earned his B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Irvine, and is known for his collaborative leadership, data-driven strategy, and ability to build high-performing teams that deliver measurable results.
Julie Canan
Director of Marketing
Julie Canan serves as the Director of Marketing for Visionary ASC, the nation’s first dedicated GYN-only ambulatory surgery center (ASC) platform. She leads the strategic marketing and growth initiatives that connect patients, payers, and physicians across Visionary’s fully integrated ecosystem—spanning The Center for Innovative GYN Care (CIGC), NGynS (National GYN Specialists), and NGynAP (National GYN ASC Partners). Drawing on more than fifteen years of healthcare and health-tech marketing experience, Julie drives brand performance through data-driven storytelling, digital strategy, and patient-education campaigns that amplify Visionary’s mission to deliver advanced, minimally invasive GYN care at lower cost and higher quality.
Before joining Visionary ASC, Julie built and scaled marketing operations for national specialty-care organizations and hospital systems, launching first-of-their-kind subspecialty brands and digital ecosystems that achieved triple-digit growth and multimillion-dollar revenue gains. A proven brand and growth leader, she is recognized for developing high-performing teams, forging strategic partnerships, and using analytics to turn insights into measurable business outcomes. Julie holds a B.S. in Marketing and Public Relations from the University of Florida and is passionate about connecting patients to life-changing specialists through innovation, transparency, and compassion.
